Gornja Radgona is on a great location in the northeast of Slovenia, on the border to Austria, close to the capital of Slovenia (Ljubljana), close to Croatia and close to Hungary.

BY PLANE

If you are planning to arrive by plane, the nearest airport is in Graz, Austria (66 km).  Graz airport is up to 1 hour drive north-west of Gornja Radgona. It offers regular and frequent flights to several big connection airports (Munich, Frankfurt, and Vienna). 

For transfer from airports to Gornja Radgona you can choose public transportation or rent a car. 

The way to reach Gornja Radgona from Graz Airport is also by train to go to Bad Radkersburg, which is the border town to Gornja Radgona. The train station (Flughafen Graz-Feldkirchen) is within walking distance of the terminal. 

It is also possible to take a taxi to Gornja Radgona.

OTHER AIRPORTS:

Ljubljana (Jože Pučnik airport) = 173 km 
The airport is located some 25 minutes’ drive north of Ljubljana. Regular hourly bus transfers (45 min) to the Ljubljana train and coach station are available. A one-way ticket costs around 4 EUR. The train and coach station is situated in the centre of Ljubljana.

A taxi transfer on the same route costs approximately 30 EUR. The taxi rank is right in front of the terminal. Taxis are available according to the actual arrivals of flights. The best option is to take a bus from Ljubljana to Gornja Radgona or a train to Maribor and from there a bus to Gornja Radgona.

Zagreb (Pleso), Croatia = 139 km 

Zagreb airport is a 2 hour drive from Gornja Radgona.

Vienna (Schwechat), Austria = 219 km

Vienna airport is 2½ hours’ drive from Gornja Radgona. The easiest way to get from Vienna to Gornja Radgona is by train to Bad Radkersburg.

BY TRAIN

The best way to reach Gornja Radgona if you are coming from Austria is by going to Bad Radkersburg, which is the border town to Gornja Radgona.

From the slovenian side there is no direct train to Gornja Radgona.

BY CAR
The highway makes travelling by car to Gornja Radgona shorter and more convenient than ever before. To arrive to Gornja Radgona take the exits Lenart, Sv. Jurij or Vučja vas from the A5. If arriving from west we recommend the exit Lenart, and from east we recommend the exit Vučja vas. If coming from Austria it is recommended to take the route via Bad Radkersburg. The fair is only 1 km away from the border between Bad Radkersburg and Gornja Radgona.
